Below this section is a more detailed listing of the classes/workshops currently being offered to the PCUG members. 

Classes held in the Palo Verde Room are free, walk-in workshops held on a first come, first seated basis. 

Classes in Room B are usually Hands-On requiring a fee of $10.00 and are limited to 21 students.  Each class, during the sign-up period, has a binder with 21 registration envelopes in Room A (Computers West Lobby).  Complete the front of the envelope, insert your check payable to Computers West in the amount of $10.00 and give the envelope to the Monitor on duty.  Watch the Room B calendar, your e-mail and/or the listing below for current running or up coming classes and last minute changes.  Where appropriate, class notes are attached in pdf format.

Class Description: A Demo & Discussion Class: Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday 10:30 to 12:30 in Palo Verde Room. November 2008 through April 2009, Topics Included will be:

1. Digital Camera Discussion
2. Scanning Old Photos.
3. Transfer digital images to your computer.
4. Use FREE software to: Improve scanned and camera photos by cropping unwanted areas correcting exposure, and correcting color.
5. Use FREE software to: Add Titles. Drawings, Combine Photos & Clone.
6. Use FREE software to: Make digital image slide shows with music background.
7. Insert digital images in letters.
8. Attach digital photo images to E-Mail.
9. Use a digital Photo image as a desktop background
10. Make a digital photo Image into an Icon.
11. Use a scanner to scan news articles, for file management, personal security.
12. Use a scanner for Optical Character Recognition.
13. Other topics of interest to participants.

Using FREE software improve digital camera or scanner photos in the many ways possible with modern state of the art software. Photo improvement in this class this class will include adjusting photo image size, file size, resolution, color balance, contrast, brightness, sharpness, cropping out unwanted objects, adding effects, titles, frames, clip art, using digital modification tools including fill tools, brush tools and cloning.
